Young Alumni Historic Philadelphia Pub Tour

Starting Location: Independence Living History Center, 3rd & Chestnut
Streets

 

Sponsored by the Duke Alumni Club

 

 Join your Colonial guide as
they share with you stories of tavern life in Colonial Philadelphia and
introduce you to some traditional drinks from the period. Participating
taverns include the Society Hill Hotel, The Plough & The Stars, Old Original
Bookbinders, and the City Tavern.

Cost: $25


What's Included: One drink and light appetizers are served at each pub and
alumni are welcome to purchase additional drinks if they wish. Each stop
will be about 25 minutes. The tour will take place rain or shine.

YOUNG ALUMNI QUIZZO CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT

MORIARTY'S PUB, 11TH & WALNUT

 This Fall's edition will be Halloween themed and costumes are certainly encouraged.

In an effort to turn this successful event into one which has a more
substantial impact we will now be collecting cell phones at the door to
benefit Charitable Recycling which will then make a donation to the
Philadelphia Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Admission is $5 with an old
cell phone and $10 without. All proceeds will go to Habitat and other local
charities.

As always prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.
