Ten Mile Tide is a San Francisco-based six-piece that plays a smooth blend of rock, folk, bluegrass, and groove. The band was formed in Dec 2000 by identical twins Jason and Justin Munning (’99) and their Stanford roommates, Marc Mazzoni (’99) and Steve Kessler (’99), shortly after graduating. For the last two years they’ve focused on building a following in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Recently, the exposure their music has gotten through file-sharing on the Internet has allowed them all to quit their jobs and pursue music full-time.

Ten Mile Tide has shared the stage with other national touring acts such as Dispatch, moe., MOFRO, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Strangefolk, and Railroad Earth. On February 21st, 2003, the band was featured on CNN for it’s outspoken support of the file-sharing program Kazaa. Users of Kazaa have downloaded more than 10 million Ten Mile Tide songs worldwide and the band's growing Street Team now consists of more than 200 members in 42 U.S. States. The band has leveraged this exposure to play short tours on both the East and West coasts and is currently preparing for a three month, nationwide tour in support of their most recent album “Flow”. To read more about them, visit their web site at www.tenmiletide.com.
