Capital Area Food Bank, 645 Taylor Street, NE, Washington, DC 20017

For all those in the holiday spirit, this is a great opportunity to contribute to one of the DC area's great charity organizations. Last year, the Capital Area Food Bank had over 12,000 volunteers assist in the sorting and sending of food to those in need. These same volunteers also assisted in the distribution of over 20 million pounds of food and fresh produce in the Washington Metro Area. Activities involve some type of food sorting, segregating food drive items into bins or boxes, repacking boxes of food or re-labeling boxes.

Wear jeans (LONG PANTS) and comfortable shoes (NO OPEN TOE SHOES). Limited spaces available so please RSVP to begna@stanfordalumni.org or 571-218-6614 ASAP.

$30 for children under 11, free for children under 2

A shuttle bus will leave from the Vienna Metro Stop (orange line) at 12:30pm sharp and will return immediately after the game. Round-trip bus tickets are $25 per person. Taking the bus will allow riders to avoid a $5.00 per car parking fee at the Arena, and parking at the Metro stop on the weekends is free.

A sumptuous pre-game reception will be held from 3-5pm at the historic Farmington Country Club...just 7 minutes from the Arena. Reception tickets ($20 per person) are required to go along with basketball game ticket purchases. The traditional Virginia reception buffet will include such menu items as salad, green beans, potatoes, catfish, flank steak, ham, dessert, beverages, with a cash bar. Guest speakers from the Stanford Athletic Department, the Men's Basketball Staff, and the University of Virginia are expected. Signed basketballs, hats, and t-shirts will be raffled.
