What is "Capitol Steps?" It's a musical political satire,
"funnier than the Congress," with contributions from the Cast and the Congress.
THE WALL STREET JOURNAL writes. "The troupe has become a favorite on the
Washington social circuit. It brings chuckles...rave reviews...guffaws...and
bipartisan grins all around. The satire hits the mark."
Since the Capitol Steps will not refund money for unused tickets, we have reserved seats for only 20 people, but will increase this when numbers exceed 20 (which we expect, given the reputation of the show and our 10% group discount). No tickets will be issued. We will reserve tables and chairs early so as to guarantee close-up seating with other Stanford people. Please be punctual; dinner will be served from 6-8 PM. The show will begin at 8 PM and all food and drinks will be removed.
|Join Stanford and Cal alumni for Big Game, Part II, at Ramparts, 1700 Fern St., Alexandria. No admission charge or need to RSVP. Game starts at 1PM EST. The game should also be available on CBS locally. The following additional games will be available, either locally or at a sports bar. Ramparts should be carrying the UCLA game. Check the Hotline for details.|
|The Washington DC Stanford Association is forming a team for Sunday evening co-ed recreational volleyball. Games will begin February 9 and will extend for six weeks, plus playoffs. The times are yet to be arranged, but will take place between 5:30 and 9:30 pm; the location is Our Lady Queen of the Americas, 2200 California Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC (Kalorama/Embassy Row area, northwest of DuPont Circle). Reportedly, the league is popular and spots fill up quickly. The cost is $37 per team member.|
