#17th-ranked Stanford takes on #1-ranked Kansas on Saturday, December 6. The Kansas alumni group has 3 locations in this area where they will be watching: (1) the Park Bench Pub, 3433 Connecticut Avenue, NW, (Cleveland Park Metro), (2) Rampart's, 1700 Fern Street Alexandria, and (3) Mr. Days, 3100 Clarendon Boulevard, (Clarendon Metro), so pick a location and come out.
The UNLV game will be on Fox Sports Net and the Gonzaga (ranked 24th) game will be on College Sports Net. Local viewing locations for these games will be announced via email later. For further information, contact Bill Pegram at email@example.com or 703-486-0952.
Hike in Rock Creek Park
Sunday, December 7, 1PM
Our Billy Goat Trail hike scheduled for Saturday, December 6 has been cancelled due to poor weather. On Sunday, we are joining a 7 mile Sierra Club hike in upper Rock Creek Park on an easy hike ("B" rating). Bring water, snacks, and winter hiking boots.

GETTING THERE BY CAR: From Military Road, turn south onto Glover Road and follow the signs to the Nature Center, approximately 1/4 mile.
GETTING THERE USING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Take the Redline Metro to Friendship Heights. Transfer to the E2 MetroBus, getting off at Glover and Military Road. Walk up the paved trail to the Nature Center.

One of the most elegant residences in Washington, the DACOR-Bacon House has been home to several Supreme Court Justices as well as a Maryland governor over its glorious history and is now restored.

Stanford Holiday Party at Stanford in WashingtonCost: $25 per person

The Stanford Holiday party will be held at the Stanford in Washington facility on Connecticut Avenue. Danielle Westphal, a professional singer who has performed in Washington, New York and other venues, will provide our holiday entertainment. She will perform classic jazz vocals and holiday songs. Heavy hors d' oeuvres will be served.
